Self-funded students:

Self-funded students are students that do not receive an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, but do enroll in the programme by funding their studies through personal funds, alternative scholarships, or other sources of support.

When applying for a visa, they will have to prove sufficient means of subsistence. There are several ways to do this, of which the Blocked Account is used most frequently. All information about how to proceed, can be found on the UGent website.
