Welcome to WE-TEAM

WE-TEAM is a two year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) Programme to educate the next generation of textile engineers. Students all start their first semester at Ghent University in Belgium. The second semester for the cohort 2024-2026 takes place in University of West Attica in Greece. For the third semester students have the option to go to the University of Boras in Sweden or to the Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan. Professors from all over the world travel to these locations to teach you in their field of expertise during a one week course.

Structure of the studies

MATERIALS

Students all start their first semester at Ghent University in Belgium. This is dedicated to the study of materials.

MANUFACTURING

The second semester for the edition 2023-2025 takes place in Université Haute-Alsace, France. It is dedicated to the study of manufacturing processes.

APPLICATIONS

For the third semester students have the option to go to the University of Boras in Sweden or to the Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan. The studies of this semester are dedicated to applications.

THESIS

The fourth semester is dedicated to the preparation and presentation of the thesis. The place where it may take place is decided upon choice, at a full partner or associate partner.

CROSS CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

WE-TEAM is organised at multiple locations: each semester the international students move to a different university. This way, they study at minimum three different universities, geographically spread. The students acquire many non-technical skills such as knowledge of languages, cross-cultural experience, organisational skills and self-reliance.

What is WE-TEAM ?

WE-TEAM is a two year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) Program to educate the next generation of textile engineers. It is a full-time programme lectured in English. It offers students an exceptional level of mobility and high quality education.

Who can participate ?

Students with a bachelor in Engineering or Science and that fulfil the requirements as listed in the Admission Requirements section can apply for the programme.
