How to apply

The application procedure in 5 steps

Edition 2026-2028 will open for self-funded students only.

First you need to create a WE-TEAM account. Next you enter all required data in the Application Form*. The steps and links are described below:

  1. Determine whether you are eligible for the WE-TEAM programme by checking carefully the Admission requirements page.
  2. Before you begin make sure you have the following information ready:

    i) For non-EU students    :
    – the e-mail address of the embassy where you will apply for your visa. You will have to fill this out in the form

    ii) For all students    :
    – Bachelor diploma (or Certificate of Enrolment if you are still in your last year)
    – Transcript of Records
    – Pdf of your passport
    – Your picture
    – Short CV in Europass format
    – Proof of place of residence
    – English Language Certificate
  3. When applications are open, create an UGent OASIS account by clicking the “Click for account setup” button. After registration you can fill out the enrolment application form (General Information – Enrolment – Apply as a degree student).
    Note: there is one single Application Form for both admission to the programme and the scholarship application.
  4. Fill in the online Application Form and submit it prior to the set deadlines.
  5. In case your file has been evaluated as positive by the Selection Committee, you will be invited for an on-line interview, which is the last phase in the Application Procedure.

User rights and privacy

Each member / user has access to the data concerning him in accordance with European Legislation.

You have the right to be informed by us if we process your data, for the purpose of processing, the type of data we hold, who manages it, how long we store it, but also for your other rights, such as the limitation of processing, correction and deletion of data concerning you.

You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal data by submitting a request for correction. It is noted that the correction of the data exists only in the case of a registered user, where in this case it can be done by you through the user control panel. Default order data cannot be corrected.

You have the right to delete the data that concerns you, either as a registered user where it can be done by you through the user control panel, or as a number of orders.

You have the right to portability of your data, where you can ask us to download the personal data you have submitted to the website or to ask us to transfer it to another body.

For any request related to the processing of your data and the exercise of your above rights you can send a relevant email to we-team@ugent.be. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any case within 30 calendar days from the day of receipt.
